Description

The Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) provides 24 hour-a-day, 7 day-a-week crisis intervention, assessment, medication support, and care for individuals in an acute mental health crisis. CSU may give referrals to crisis residential services or inpatient mental health facilities for those needing a higher level of  psychiatric inpatient care.

The team is comprised of a licensed mental health clinician, a paramedic, a homeless outreach specialist, and supported by system navigators who provide follow-up support and connection to services. InRESPONSE is trained in de-escalation, interventions and mental health evaluations.
