June 2, 2026, Statewide Direct Primary Election
On January 5, Governor Gavin Newsom issued a proclamation ordering that a Statewide Direct Primary Election be held on June 2, 2026. Some key dates:
| ~4/23/26 | County Voter Information Guides begin going out in the mail |
| 5/4/26 | Ballots begin going out in the mail |
| 5/4/26 | First day voters can pick up Vote-by-Mail ballots at our office |
| 5/4/26 | First day voters can vote in person at our office |
| 5/23/26-6/2/26 | Vote Centers are open daily for in-person voting (including weekends and Memorial Day). Locations/times coming soon! |
