Description

SonomaWORKS provides temporary help in the form of cash assistance for families with minor children who have little or no money. SonomaWORKS can also help qualifying adults build skills toward getting and keeping a job to support their families.
 
Services you may receive can include:
A monthly cash grant for CalWORKs (TANF), as well as CalFresh, and Medi-cal, if eligible
Childcare, transportation help, housing, support Program (HSP) for homeless or at risk of homeless housing assistance, skills and strengths assessments, job search assistance, on-the-job training, college classes, english as a second language services, GED test preparation, mental health counseling, substance use disorder services, support for those affected by domestic violence, legal services, job retention services.

The Living Room is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting women and women with children who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The Living Room works within four primary areas: housing, food, education and services to women and their children. The Living Room programs are focused on servicing the numerous day-to-day challenges of women and children who are facing crisis and homelessness in the county. The Life Center is the hub for day services, and the Cleveland Campus is the service hub for the food and transitional housing programs.

The Petaluma Family Resource Center at McDowell School (FRC) serves the many low-income and vulnerable families at McDowell Elementary School and is now expanding to support families throughout Petaluma City Schools.
