Registrar of Voters Office
The Registrar of Voters Office performs a range of election-related duties and and other public services that increase citizen participation and education.
Important Announcement
As of July 1, 2025, the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters Office will become its own department and no longer be a division of the Sonoma County Clerk-Recorder-Assessor. The head of the new stand-alone Registrar of Voters department will be selected and appointed by the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors rather than elected by the voters. The Clerk-Recorder-Assessor will remain an elected office. For more information, see this press release the County posted in January.
