Health Officials Issue Freeze Warning this Weekend

The County of Sonoma Health Officials have issued a freeze warning in response to the National Weather Service’s prediction of sub-freezing temperatures possibly through Sunday morning.

Officials recommend that residents limit time outdoors, as serious medical conditions including hypothermia and frostbite can develop with prolonged cold weather exposure.

Individuals who are unhoused are encouraged to move to their nearest shelter if possible. Some winter shelters in Sonoma County have expanded capacity on a first-come, first-served basis.

Seniors of Sonoma County Invited to Provide Insight

The Sonoma County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is seeking feedback on the needs of and programs for older adults, individuals with disabilities and caregivers in Sonoma County.

You can participate in two ways: 1) take the online or printed survey; or 2) register for an online or in-person focus group. Your feedback will help plan and develop services that meet the needs of our senior, disabled and caregiver community.

COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at Casa Grande High School

The County of Sonoma Department of Health Services is partnering with Sonoma County Office of Education to offer COVID-19 vaccines at Casa Grande High School on Wednesday Jan. 25, 3-5 p.m. at 333 Casa Grande Road, Petaluma.

Other community partners providing support for this event include Fox Home Health, Catholic Charities of Santa Rosa, Partnership HealthPlan of California, Santa Rosa Community Health, Petaluma Health Care District, and Petaluma City Schools.

• Vaccines are are safe effective and FREE!
• No appointment needed.
• Social Security and Citizenship are NOT required.
• Everyone ages 5 years and older eligible for a vaccine will receive one.
