COUNTY GENERAL PLAN PUBLIC WORKSHOPS APRIL 22-23

Permit Sonoma is updating the General Plan Safety Element and introducing a new Environmental Justice Element and is requesting community feedback to reduce risks from environmental hazards like wildfire and flooding, incorporate climate adaptation strategies, and promote health equity in under-resourced communities.

The public is invited to provide feedback in three ways:

  1. Take the online surveys:
    Safety Element Survey: https://www.research.net/r/DJFFBYB
    Environmental Justice Survey: https://www.research.net/r/V8DFCG3

  2. Attend a virtual workshop:
    Environmental Justice Workshop – Tuesday, April 22, 6-7:30 p.m.
    Safety Element Workshop – Wednesday, April 23, 6-7:30 p.m.

  3. Email your feedback to GeneralPlan@sonoma-county.org

The public review period ends on April 30. Public input will shape the future of Sonoma County and refine these elements before they are presented to the Board of Supervisors for adoption later this year.
