Now Available: Amended Notice of Funding Availability – Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) Program

Published: October 18, 2024

PLEASE NOTE: This Notice of Funding Availability was previously posted, but it has now been amended. The previous NOFA contained some unnecessary language regarding Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), and that language has been removed from the amended notice. Additionally, this funding is not available for individual rental assistance, and this notice is not related to the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) program. Please refer to the full Notice of Funding Availability for more information regarding eligibility.

The Sonoma County Community Development Commission (Commission) requests applications for eligible Affordable Owner-Occupied Workforce Housing (AOWH) projects to receive set-aside funding from the Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) program. The AOWH set-aside of PLHA funds available for the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 is $1,079,271, for the development and/or acquisition of AOWH, to meet the needs of a growing workforce earning up to 120 percent (120%) of the Area Median Income (AMI). Applicants must indicate that their project is designed and eligible to receive these AOWH set-aside funds.

If you would like to know more about the funding that is currently available, please refer to the full Notice of Funding Availability, which is linked below.
