Now Available: Notice of Funding Availability – Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) Program

The Sonoma County Community Development Commission (Commission) is requesting applications for eligible Affordable Owner-Occupied Workforce Housing (AOWH) projects to receive set-aside funding from the Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) program. The set-aside of PLHA funds available for the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 is $1,079,271, and these funds must be utilized for the development and/or acquisition of AOWH, including accessory dwelling units (ADUs), in order to meet the needs of a growing workforce earning up to 120 percent (120%) of the Area Median Income (AMI). ADU’s must be available for occupancy for a term of no less than 30 days. Applicants must indicate that their project is designed and eligible to receive these AOWH set-aside funds.

PLEASE NOTE: This funding is not available for individual rental assistance, and these funds are not related to the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) program. Please refer to the full Notice of Funding Availability for more information regarding eligibility.
