Methodology

IgM and IgG serology

Specimen Type

2 mLs of serum

1-2 mLs of CSF if lumbar puncture is performed

Specimen Storage

Store specimens in the refrigerator (2-8ºC).

Specimen Transport

Transport specimens to the laboratory on cold pack.

Turn-around-time

Reports will be available in approximately 14 days.
