Throat swab in VTM
Bronchoalveolar washings in VTM
Do NOT use bacterial transport media (such as Amies)
Specimen Storage
Store specimens in the refrigerator.
Specimen Transport
Transport specimens to the lab on cold pack.
Setup Days
Testing is performed on an as-needed basis.
