Supervisors Approve and Fund Cannabis Ordinance Update Part II

During the month of June, the Board of Supervisors approved Permit Sonoma's Comprehensive Work Plan for Fiscal Years 19/20 and 20/21 and subsequent funding for the purposes of updating the Cannabis Land Use Ordinance and preparing an associated Environmental Impact Report (EIR). The Ordinance Update and EIR processes are targeted to begin later this summer, occurring concurrently and spanning approximately 12-18 months. The Update will involve a more thorough review of neighborhood compatibility and other implementation efforts that require robust outreach and staff analysis.
