New Employee Orientation (NEO) and onboarding training and coursework will introduce new employees into the County’s culture, racial equity and belonging objectives, and provide the necessary tools and information needed to become a thriving member of the County workforce.
NOTE: Tier 1 is mandatory for all new employees.
Summary:
All new employees attend a Workforce Development hosted NEW EMPLOYEE ORIENTATION on or around their first day. In addition, members of the HR Benefits, Payroll and Deferred Comp teams are present as well as the applicable Union representatives. New employees are also enrolled in a series of web-based trainings as part of NEO through sonoma higher ed, the County's learning management system (LMS). These focus on County Critical Topics:
