The County of Sonoma has reduced its unfunded pension liability by 30 percent over the last four years, the result of strong investment returns and decisions by the Board of Supervisors to make early payments on the county’s unfunded liability, according to the fourth annual State of the Retirement System report presented to supervisors today. Second booster shots available for Sonoma County residents age 50 and up

Residents age 50 and older and those who are immunocompromised are now eligible to receive a second booster of the mRNA (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna) COVID-19 vaccine at county-sponsored clinics as well as at local pharmacies and healthcare providers in Sonoma County. Read full story

Maintaining tenant protections under County’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program requires action by March 31, 2022

If you are a Sonoma County resident who has experienced family or individual income loss due to COVID-19 that has resulted in your inability to pay rent, the Emergency Rental Assistance Program exists to give you limited protection against eviction for non-payment of rent. Sonoma County Board of Supervisors approve matching funds for two Homekey sites

The Board of Supervisors voted unanimously today, to allocate capital funds in the amount of $950,000 for L&M Village in Healdsburg and $600,000 for The Studios at Montero in Petaluma, both Homekey sites. The funding commitment ensures the two sites will secure additional matching allocations from the state to assist with funding gaps. Read full story
