   4. Bay Area Air Quality Management District Board - Correction
      • Background: On October 10, 2024 the City Selection Committee nominated Brian Barnacle to the vacant seat on the Bay Area Air Quality Management District and sought approval from the Board of Supervisors. The nomination should have been an appointment based on: CA Health & Safety Code Section 40221.5 (a) The members of the bay district board shall be appointed as follows:
        • (2) For a county entitled to appoint two members of the bay district board, the city selection committee of that county shall appoint one member and the board of supervisors shall appoint the other member, which member may either be a member of the board of supervisors or a person on the list submitted to the board of supervisors by the city selection committee.
