Recruiting now for Community Advisory Council Members!

The Community Advisory Council (CAC) has current and upcoming vacancies. The CAC is made up of eleven volunteers from the community, with members of the Board of Supervisors appointing two each in their Supervisorial Districts and the IOLERO Director making one at-large appointment. All appointments are for two years and members may be re-appointed. CAC members fulfill roles and duties such as attending CAC meetings, supporting IOLERO and the adopted positions of the CAC, and abiding by CAC bylaws. Applicants should possess a passion for social justice and civilian oversight of law enforcement and the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with people of different backgrounds and viewpoints.
Applicants must be willing to make a commitment of approximately three to five hours per month for CAC and ad hoc meetings and projects, plus be willing to commit to one to two full weekend days per year to assist with community outreach events.
