Notice of Availability for Public Comment – 2025 Community Participation Plan!

The Community Development Commission has just released a new Community Participation Plan! The purpose of the Community Participation Plan is to provide a written policy and procedure that describes the actions that must be taken to encourage community participation throughout Sonoma County. 
 
Previous releases of the Community Participation Plan were titled, “Citizen Participation Plan.” The term “citizen” was used in prior CPP’s for consistency with the federal statutory language (i.e., “Citizen Participation Plan”). The County of Sonoma welcomes and solicits input from all county residents regardless of their citizenship status and has opted to use the word “Community” in place of “Citizen”. The amended plan also removes language related to COVID-19 that is no longer applicable.
