Accepting Applications for Community Advisory Board
Published: August 11, 2016
The Independent Office of Law Enforcement Review and Outreach (IOLERO) is currently accepting applications for the office's Community Advisory Board (CAB). The CAB is one of the office's primary outreach initiatives and will give interested community members the opportunity to help review and make recommendations on Sheriff's Office policies such as use of deadly force, community orientated policing, and other significant policies.
In an effort to attract a diverse pool of applicants, the due date for the CAB applications has been extended until August 31st, 2016. As currently envisioned, the CAB would meet once a month to hold public hearings, deliberate on policy, and formulate recommendations. Members of the public will be encouraged to attend, and food, beverages, and childcare will be provided. Terms of membership, meeting location, and days/time have yet to be finalized, but these details will shared at the earliest possible opportunity.
For more information about the CAB please visit the IOLERO website or call our office at (707) 565-1534.
