Racial Equity Workgroup Vacancies - Application Period now Open!
Published: March 29, 2024
We are excited to announce an opportunity for passionate and committed individuals to join the Racial Equity Workgroup as we continue our important journey toward a more just and equitable system of homeless services! The Racial Equity Workgroup is a dedicated group of individuals, comprised of community members and Homeless Coalition staff with the Department of Health Services, who are deeply committed to addressing systemic racism and promoting equity within our homeless system of care. Through collaborative efforts, we strive to identify and dismantle barriers to racial equality, advocate for inclusive policies and practices, and foster meaningful dialogue and action around issues of race and social justice.
As we embark on this critical mission, we recognize the need for a diverse and dedicated team of individuals who can commit to regular attendance and active participation. Each member plays a vital role in shaping the direction and priorities of the workgroup, and their contributions are essential to our collective success. If you are interested in joining the Racial Equity Workgroup and contributing to this important work, we invite you to submit an application for consideration.
Time Commitment
The Workgroup convenes once a month for a duration of one and a half (1 ½) hours. The total time commitment, including the meetings and review of meeting packet materials, amounts to approximately two and a half (2 ½) hours per month.
