Free Presentations for Seniors: Protect Yourself, Protect Your Assets

To help seniors and their loved ones prevent the growing crime of elder financial abuse, attend a free, 90-minute presentation in June held at senior and community centers countywide. Seniors: Protect Yourself, Protect Your Assets provides information about avoiding scams and fraud, using estate planning to help keep assets safe and recognizing the signs of elder abuse, plus local resources offering help and support. The presentations are hosted by Hosted by the Sonoma County Elder Protection Work Group and the Financial Abuse Specialist Team, with the support from the Elder Protection Workgroup, Adult Protective Services, the District Attorney’s office, Senior Advocacy Services and senior centers.
