Public Forum on Homelessness (#6) – Keep People Housed
You are invited to participate in an virtual public community forum about homelessness. The forum will begin with a brief presentation about Keep People Housed by representatives from Committee on the Shelterless (COTS), followed by an “open forum” style Question & Answer session.

2024 Notice of Funding Availability: HUD CoCBuilds Competition
The Sonoma County Homeless Coalition is pleased to release the local NOFA (Notice of Funds Available) for the HUD CoC Builds NOFO. One (1) project can be selected on behalf of the Continuum of Care and submitted to HUD for consideration of new permanent supportive housing construction (one-time funding) with renewable operating funding. Local proposals are due to the Lead Agency, Sonoma County Department of Health Services on October 21, 2024 and the Coalition Board will make the final decision on a selected application at a special meeting in November.

Sonoma County’s Continuum of Care seeks public input on draft Homelessness Strategic Plan
Sonoma County’s Continuum of Care Board and its Strategic Planning Committee invites the public to provide input on a draft 2022 Homeless Strategic Plan and to learn more about the plan during a series of upcoming meetings. The Continuum of Care is a federally directed homelessness coordination system that works to ensure a regional homelessness system of care is coordinated and effective.

HomeFirst to operate the Sonoma County Continuum of Care’s Coordinated Entry System
The Coordinated Entry System in Sonoma County has changed operators from Catholic Charities of Santa Rosa to HomeFirst, a nonprofit agency based in Santa Clara County. The change in operators was approved by the local Continuum of Care Board and took effect on April 1.
