Administration & Renting Facilities

Administration is the backbone of Sonoma Public Infrastructure and is responsible for managing the essential day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring that every aspect of the department runs smoothly and efficiently. Their expertise and coordination are key to supporting the larger mission of delivering impactful infrastructure projects that directly benefit the public.

Renting a Facility

The Public Infrastructure Administration team also oversees and manages the rental of seven county facilities, including six Veterans Memorial Buildings located throughout the County and the Sebastopol Center for the Arts. The buildings have been serving residents of Sonoma County since their construction following World War II.

Holiday Rates

Holiday rates are an additional 50% of the base rent. Holiday rates apply to News Year's Day, Lincoln's Birthday, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Martin Luther King's Birthday, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Parking Rates

25% of Parking Lot: $100
50% of Parking Lot: $150
100% of Parking Lot: $200

Private Security Requirements for Events

Security may be required based on event size, type, and whether alcohol will be served. When private security is required for events at County facilities:

  • The County of Sonoma coordinates with local law enforcement to ensure safe operations.
  • All security arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the facility user.
  • Security must be arranged at least 30 days in advance through a State of California-licensed security agency.
  • Event organizers must meet with County Building staff and their chosen security provider in advance to develop a security plan.
  • Final security contract is required at least 30 days before the event date.

Cloverdale Veterans Memorial Building

Square Footage: 6,748

Rooms: Auditorium, Trophy Room with Bar (additional approval required), and Kitchen. Thus facility also has a 100,000-gallon, public swimming pool. A Sheriff's Substation is on-site.

Cotati Veterans Memorial Building

Square Footage: 5,420

Rooms: Auditorium, Memorial Room, and Kitchen. Located in the middle of a city park.

Guerneville Veterans Memorial Building

Currently unavailable for rent.

Rooms: Auditorium and Club Room. Shares building with Sheriff's substation.

Rooms: Auditorium, Banquet Room, Conference Room, and Kitchen.

Largest public assembly facility in Sonoma County. Rooms: Auditorium, Lodge Room, Dining Room, North Room, Judges Chambers, Concession, and Kitchen.

Sebastopol Center of the Arts

Square Footage: 17,800

The Sebastopol Center of the Arts leases the Veterans Memorial Building in downtown Sebastopol and plans to remodel and upgrade the facility. Rooms: Auditorium, Outdoor Space, and Kitchen.

Amenities and Services

  • Professional staff ready to assist you in making your event a success!
  • Multiple rooms in each building, ample, convenient parking at each location, and restaurant-quality kitchens.
  • A wide selection of equipment is available at each site, including television and projection screens, theater lighting, portable risers, retractable seating systems, cordless microphones, and more.
  • Facilities meet A.D.A. requirements; some include sound systems for the hearing impaired.
  • Non-profit organizations may qualify for reduced rental rates.
  • Recycling containers for aluminum, plastic and glass at each building.

Rental Policies and Requirements

Thirty (30) days or more before the event, you’ll need to provide:

  • Certificate of Insurance & Policy Endorsement (or buy alternative insurance through the County)
  • Signed Confirmation/License Agreement (contract)
  • Final payment
  • Set-up diagram for room(s) & decorating plan & security plan to share with facility staff
  • Copy of Security Contract (if applicable) and copy of their PPO license & proof of insurance if they're not on file with us
  • Copy of ABC (Alcoholic Beverage Control) Authorization (if applicable)
  • Copy of Caterer's business license, alcohol catering license & proof of insurance
  • Copy of Business License (from City - if applicable)
  • Copy of Fire Dept permit (only Santa Rosa auditorium events open to public
