Sonoma County Board of Supervisors approve matching funds for two Homekey sites

The Board of Supervisors voted unanimously today, to allocate capital funds in the amount of $950,000 for L&M Village in Healdsburg and $600,000 for The Studios at Montero in Petaluma, both Homekey sites. Defendants Christian May Quintero and Fredi Alberto Lopez-Flores, 28 and 37 years old respectively, were convicted today after a one-month-long jury trial, presided over by the Honorable Christopher Honigsberg.District Attorney Ravitch stated, “This was a tragic case, and the young victim showed incredible strength testifying and facing her attackers. Board of Supervisors adopts temporary 45 percent reduction of local cannabis cultivation tax rates

The County of Sonoma Board of Supervisors this week agreed to amend the Cannabis Business Tax ordinance to reduce the fiscal year 2021-2022 cannabis cultivation tax rates by 45 percent through June 30, 2023. The reduced rates will be retroactive to July 1, 2021 and are intended to mitigate financial hardship for local operators. Read full story
