Permit Sonoma announces draft Housing Strategy workshop
Permit Sonoma will present its draft Housing Strategy at the August 9 meeting of the Board of Supervisors and seek feedback from the supervisors and public. John Alden named as director of Independent Office of Law Enforcement Review and Outreach
John Alden, a veteran oversight practitioner with more than 13 years of experience leading and managing civilian oversight agencies, has been named director of the Independent Office of Law Enforcement Review and Outreach (IOLERO). Board of Supervisors approves comprehensive vacation rental ordinance update
The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors approved updates to the Vacation Rental Ordinance today, including a prohibition on new vacation rentals in R1-zoned (low-density residential) areas, allowing for caps to be placed on vacation rentals in areas of concentration and establishing restrictions on corporate ownership of vacation rentals in Sonoma County. Existing vacation rentals will not be affected by the ownership or zoning changes voted on today. Read full story
