Charles M. Schulz – Sonoma County Airport report to Board of Supervisors shows continued growth in passengers, revenue
Passenger traffic at Charles M. Schulz – Sonoma County Airport was up 4 percent from 2022 to 2023 and is up 15 percent so far this year, according to data shared with the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday. Overall, there were 82,710 commercial and general flights in and out of the airport in 2023 and 641,178 total airline passengers. Read full story

Sonoma Valley Veterans Building to get advanced heating, ventilation and air conditioning system

Permit Sonoma has launched General Plan Sonoma, the comprehensive update to Sonoma County’s General Plan. The project launch includes an updated website and email newsletter, which will provide project information, event and meeting dates, opportunities for input and online engagement, and milestones reached. The General Plan is a foundational document that outlines community goals and creates a vision for the future by establishing policies that guide land use and development over the next 20-30 years. Board of Supervisors approves construction of Arnold Drive bike lanes in Sonoma Valley
The Board of Supervisors today approved a project to construct on-road bicycle lanes along approximately two miles of Arnold Drive between Country Club Drive and Madrone Road in Sonoma Valley. The project, which is expected to get underway in 2025, will improve safety and mobility for pedestrians and bicyclists. The plan also aligns with County goals for safe bicycle ridership and infrastructure, zero-emission transportation options, and the Sonoma County Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan. Read full story
