Negotiations Public Updates:

We are grateful for SEIU's professionalism during this round of negotiations. The County has offered substantial economic improvements as part of a fair and competitive labor agreement.  SEIU’s contention that the County is “taking away existing employee benefits” is incomplete. While the County is asking legacy employees to continue and/or marginally increase contributions toward the cost of their future pension benefits, its proposal is part of a comprehensive wage and benefits package that substantially improves terms and conditions of employment for SEIU’s members. The County of Sonoma and representatives of SEIU Local 1021 met for their 14th bargaining session on February 15, 2023. During this session, the County received a comprehensive package proposal from SEIU, reached a number of tentative agreements on non-economic issues, and engaged in discussions around costing of economic proposals. Return to In-person meetings - Roads and River MAC - 2/14/23

We will be returning to In-person MAC meetings as the post-COVID Brown Act virtual exemptions sunset. The State of California requires us to return to pre-COVID in-person meeting requirements. Our goal is to also provide a hybrid solution, but this is not yet ready for prime time. Therefore, for the time being, these meetings will be in person with a recording that can be watched afterwards. Read full story

HOME ARP Notice of Availability for Public Comment and Notice of Public Hearing

The Sonoma County Community Development Committee and the Cities and Towns Advisory Committee will hold concurrent public hearings to review and recommend approval of the draft HOME ARP Allocation Plan to the Board of Supervisors, who will consider the plan at a future meeting in March of 2023.
