Atmospheric River and River MAC Postponed - 3/8/23

Here we go again! An Atmospheric River is expected to arrive beginning Thursday. Heavy rain impacts, including flooding, are possible and a Flood Watch has been issued for Sonoma County in effect from Thursday afternoon through Sunday morning. The in-person River MAC meeting scheduled for Thursday March 9th has been postponed to Wednesday March 22nd. Read full story

The CAC is made up of eleven volunteers from the community, with members of the Board of Supervisors appointing two each in their Supervisorial Districts and the IOLERO Director making one at-large appointment. "The Black Therapy Fund is accepting applications for free mental health counseling in Sonoma County. The fund will provide 230 Sonoma County residents with up to 12 free video counseling sessions with culturally competent therapists." Read full story

2023 European Grapevine Moth (EGVM) Detection Trapping Begins

This is the time of year that the Sonoma County Department of Agriculture/Weights & Measures (AWM), ramps up our pest detection and trapping programs. Starting March 1, 2023, we will once again deploy detection traps for European Grapevine Moth (EGVM). Trap counts and trapping densities have been reduced, but commercial vineyards will continue to be monitored. Read full story
