Main Street Bridge Dutch Bill Creek Storm Damage - 3/29
Our Public Infrastructure road maintenance team found structural damage to the Main Street bridge over Dutch Bill Creek in Monte Rio near Villa Grande. We believe that a large tree hit the piles and caused the structural damage. Our engineering team has been on site to evaluate the damage. Out of an abundance of caution SoCoPi is closing the east bound lane and a detour will be put into place. Read full story
Probation Staff Recently Participated in Two Community Events
Members of the Sonoma County Probation Department recently participated in two community events. The Sonoma State University Spring Career Fest on March 10, 2023 was a wonderful opportunity for staff to connect with local college students and share all of the exciting career paths offered throughout our department. Notice of Intent to Award: Sonoma County Community Health Workers for COVID Response & Resilient Communities – Training
The evaluation panel carefully reviewed and analyzed the proposals received in response to the above referenced solicitation. Based upon that review and analysis, we are recommending to the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors that the contracts be awarded to El Sol Neighborhood Educational Center and Northern California Center for Well Being. Agricultural Pesticide Collection and Disposal Event – Pre-Registration Form (Napa, Sonoma and Marin Counties)
The Napa, Sonoma, and Marin County Agricultural Commissioner’s Offices are reaching out to gauge interest in a regional pesticide collection event that will provide our commercial operations with an opportunity to dispose of their unwanted pesticides for free (no home-use products will be accepted). This is a collaborative effort with all costs related to hosting the event and disposal of collected pesticides being covered by US Environmental Protection Agency, the California Department of Pesticide Regulation, and the three participating counties’ Ag Departments. The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors are conducting consolidated fee hearings on March 21, 2023, in the Board of Supervisors Chambers located at 575 Administration Drive in Santa Rosa at 8:30 a.m. The Department of Agriculture/Weights & Measures is proposing fee increases for the Agriculture, Land Stewardship, and Weights & Measures divisions.
