Public Notice: Solid Waste Management Program Local Enforcement Agency (LEA)
The Sonoma County Environmental Health Section, Solid Waste Management Program, acting as the Local Enforcement Agency (LEA) is certified by the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) to enforce state laws and regulations at solid waste sites within its jurisdiction. The Global Material Recovery Facility operates under a Solid Waste Facility Permit issued by the LEA. The operator has filed an application for a Solid Waste Facility Permit Modification with the LEA. Read full story

Sonoma County Probation Supports Special Olympics!
Probation staff recently attended the Special Olympics Unified Track and Field Meet at Windsor High School where they supported and cheered on the student athletes during their events. The celebrations continued after the meet when athletes went through a tunnel of local law enforcement personnel for congratulations and high fives! There were approximately 200 student athletes in attendance. Read full story
