The Sonoma County Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is proud to announce our third annual Sonoma County Spirit Award! We are excited to recognize five outstanding leaders in 2023 and continue to highlight people improving the lives of women and girls for years to come. Sonoma County issues freeze warning
The County of Sonoma is issuing a freeze warning in response to the National Weather Service’s prediction of sub-freezing temperatures overnight tonight through Wednesday morning. Officials recommend that residents limit time outdoors as serious medical conditions including hypothermia and frostbite can develop with prolonged cold weather exposure. Read full story

Governance Workshop February 4 and MAC meetings updates
You are invited to attend an in-person Community Workshop to provide feedback on the Lower Russian River Governance Study on Saturday, February 4th, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Guerneville School Multi Purpose Room at 14630 Armstrong Woods Road.Help identify what government services should be improved, expanded, or newly provided to improve the overall quality of life in the Lower Russian River region. Sonoma County reopens Joe Rodota Trail
Sonoma County Regional Parks announced today that ithas reopened the section of the Joe Rodota Trail in Santa Rosa that had beenclosed due to public safety concerns after numerous homeless encampmentswere established along the trail. Optum Serve to close COVID-19 testing centers in Sonoma County
Due to declining usage, COVID-19 testing contractor Optum Serve has announced that it will deactivate its two Sonoma County testing buses on Sunday, Feb. 5 as part of a statewide demobilization effort. The Roseland Community Clinic will continue to provide COVID-19 testing that is free to the public, regardless of insurance or citizenship status. Read full story

Sonoma County Supervisors approve $28 million in mental health funding
The Board of Supervisors on Tuesday unanimously approved an updated mental health services support plan for Sonoma County, utilizing more than $28 million in funds provided through Proposition 63, which California voters approved in 2004. Read full story
