Sonoma County issues freeze alert
The County of Sonoma is issuing a freeze alert in response to the National Weather Service’s prediction of sub-freezing temperatures overnight tonight through Thursday morning. Officials recommend that residents limit time outdoors as serious medical conditions including hypothermia and frostbite can develop with prolonged exposure to cold weather. Read full story

HOME ARP Notice of Availability for Public Comment and Notice of Public Hearing
The Sonoma County Community Development Committee and the Cities and Towns Advisory Committee will hold concurrent public hearings to review and recommend approval of the draft HOME ARP Allocation Plan to the Board of Supervisors, who will consider the plan at a future meeting in March of 2023. RFP for Infectious Disease Testing and Vaccine Administration
The County of Sonoma is pleased to invite you to respond to a Request for Proposals for Infectious Disease Testing and Vaccine Administration. The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified vendors to provide and independently manage clinical staff to administer infectious disease vaccines and perform infectious disease testing via CDC approved methods, current and future. Service locations may be expanded based upon the demand and in the event of an emergency or declared disaster. Read full story
Negotiations Public Updates:
The County of Sonoma and representatives of SEIU Local 1021 met for their 13th bargaining session on February 8, 2023. During this session, both parties reached a number of tentative agreements on non-economic issues, provided counter proposals, and engaged in discussions around pending matters. Read full story

Sonoma County issues first in series of annual reports highlighting accomplishments under Strategic Plan
Sonoma County today published its first annual report highlighting key accomplishments in the past year under the county’s five-year Strategic Plan, which outlines the Board of Supervisors’ top priorities through 2026. Read full story
ESC Negotiations Public Update
The County of Sonoma and ESC met for their fourth bargaining session on February 7, 2023. The parties continued discussions on the County’s total compensation survey. The parties are scheduled to resume negotiations on February 15, 2023. Read full story
County to begin mailing voter information guides, ballots to voters in March special election
Voter information guides and official ballots for the March 7 special election will begin going out in the mail on Monday, Feb. 6, the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters announced today. Please note that this election applies to fewer than 3,000 voters residing in the Schell-Vista Fire Protection District and the Timber Cove Fire Protection District. Read full story
