The evaluation panel carefully reviewed and analyzed the proposals received in response to the above referenced solicitation. Based upon that review and analysis, we are recommending to the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors that the contracts be awarded to El Sol Neighborhood Educational Center and Northern California Center for Well Being. Agricultural Pesticide Collection and Disposal Event – Pre-Registration Form (Napa, Sonoma and Marin Counties)
The Napa, Sonoma, and Marin County Agricultural Commissioner’s Offices are reaching out to gauge interest in a regional pesticide collection event that will provide our commercial operations with an opportunity to dispose of their unwanted pesticides for free (no home-use products will be accepted). This is a collaborative effort with all costs related to hosting the event and disposal of collected pesticides being covered by US Environmental Protection Agency, the California Department of Pesticide Regulation, and the three participating counties’ Ag Departments. Board of Supervisors authorizes repair of Moscow Road due to risk of failure following multiple major storm events
The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors today authorized the Department of Public Infrastructure to move forward with permanent repairs to storm-damaged sites on Moscow Road in west Sonoma County. A total of three storm sites from 2019 and 2023 are at risk of failure and could isolate more than 250 residents. Permanent repair of all sites is expected to begin this summer. Read full story

The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors are conducting consolidated fee hearings on March 21, 2023, in the Board of Supervisors Chambers located at 575 Administration Drive in Santa Rosa at 8:30 a.m. The Department of Agriculture/Weights & Measures is proposing fee increases for the Agriculture, Land Stewardship, and Weights & Measures divisions. Sonoma County partners with University of California in support of public research, education in Bodega Bay and Sonoma Valley
The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors has authorized two separate license agreements between the County of Sonoma and The Regents of the University of California in support of public research and educational activities on county-owned tidelands property at Bodega Bay and the Los Guilicos campus in Sonoma Valley. March Storm Prep - 3/9
Current forecasts predict the Russian River will peak in Guerneville at 33.3 ft, into the flood stage, at 11 pm on Friday. Wind advisory along the Coast and throughout Sonoma at 20-30 mph with gusts of up to 50 mph expected. Of course this means some trees/tree limbs will be coming down; so be prepared for possible power outages. We also have a second storm system coming in with plans to peak on the 14th, but this system is still too far out for accurate predictions. It's worthwhile, however, to know that this will be a wet week ahead on already saturated soils. This is the time to pull out of low lying areas for the week ahead.Sandbag supplies, thanks to the Public Infrastructure department, are available at Sonoma Landworks in Guerneville and at the Occidental Firehouse.
