Recovery Month Celebration on September 28th
Sonoma County has held Recovery Month celebrations for more than 20 years, often attended by more than 500 people. The 2014 event, hosted by the Department of Health Services’ substance use disorder programs in collaboration with local treatment providers, will take place Sunday, September 28th in Franklin Park, 2095 Franklin Drive, Santa Rosa. Sonoma County Adopts its First Arts Action Plan
On the heels of investing $250,000 in the creative arts, the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors adopted the County’s first ever strategic Arts Action Plan, developed by the County’sEconomic Development Board, intended to boost the county’s creative economy.The Arts sector has emerged as an important area for economic growth potentialin Sonoma County, and until now there has been no coordinated strategy forsupporting the creative economy countywide.
